Make decisions fun!
Pick a random name from your list.
The random name picker removes all bias and awkwardness from selecting a person from a group. Add your names, spin, and get a fair result instantly — whether you're a teacher choosing a student, a host picking a winner, or a friend settling who pays.
A random name picker selects one person from a list so that every name has the same chance of being chosen. On this page each name becomes an equal slice of a spinning wheel. With 25 names on the wheel, each person has exactly a 1 in 25 (4%) chance on every spin, regardless of where their name sits in the list.
The winner is decided by your browser's Web Crypto API before the wheel starts turning; the animation simply lands on that name. Because nothing is sent to a server, your class list or entrant list stays on your device and is saved locally for next time. To avoid picking the same person twice, delete their name with the X button after they are chosen and spin again. To use the same list on another device, press Share to copy a link that contains your names.
