Make decisions fun!
One spin per player: the wheel picks their team.
Split any group into random, balanced teams in seconds. Add all player or participant names, spin the wheel, and get a fair random assignment every time — no arguments, no accusations of favoritism, no awkward manual picking. Works for sports, school, work, and game night.
This team generator uses the wheel to assign people to teams fairly. The wheel starts with four team names; keep as many as you need (for example Red and Blue for two teams) and delete the rest. Then call out each person in turn and spin: the slice it lands on is their team. With two teams, every spin is a 50/50 result.
Each spin is drawn independently with your browser's Web Crypto API, so teams can come out uneven by chance, just as with coin flips. For equal-sized teams, remove a team from the wheel once it is full and keep spinning for the remaining players. A second method also works: put every player's name on the wheel, spin to pick team captains or players one at a time, and remove each name once they are placed. Nothing is uploaded; the lists live in your browser.
